The Managers and their dogs
Well after taking the summer off I think I'm ready to start blogging every now and again. Certainly don't expect daily posts, but weekly, more or less. Anytime something newsworthy comes along, like this week! For starters, my darling daughter turned two!
Also on Emma's big day we brought Princess home. That started it all, yesterday (Friday Sept. 1) I was in my office doing some paper work with Princess by my side when the door opens, with my boss Brian and the manager under me, Pablo returning from their lunch break with their dogs!!
So, here you have it, Princess, an eight-month old Shepherd/Dobe cross, weighing in at 67 pounds and myself. She's housetrained, knows SIT, UP, NO, SHAKE, and will be learning much more.
Then there's Brian's dog, a seven year-old border collie/spaniel mix, 40 pounds, fully housetrained, laid-back, just a perfect dog for him.
Lastly, there's Pablo and his dog, a small, knee-high seven month old Blue Heeler named Anabelle that's probably going to pee and poop on his carpet!
But the nice thing is, as Humane Society adoptions, the three of us saved three nice dogs with lots of love in their hearts from certain fate...

Crazy daddy an' his little fools
Wow! Been over a month since I blogged last! Oh well, post-vegas things should get back to normal. Bran is helping the Crazy Susan move this morning so I'm watching the kids (hmmm... wonder what the kids are up to right now...). Anyway, Bran and CS were out last night for dinner and the pups and I went to the park! Here's some pics!

Just...about...spring!
Well the week that threatened never to end finally has ended, and on a very nice note at that. Sorry to ya all about not blogging very much the last few days but it's been crazy. Oh well, enough of that. Keep checking back for some pictorial updates!

Canadians Playing Hockey?
After Bran and the kids got back from McD's today I took Blake outside with me for a few hours. We always have a blast. The weather was amazing, nice and warm. The curtains of the barns were open, and the cows were loving the mild, spring-like temps. Still, winter is still here, they are calling for a winter storm by next weekend, and tomorrow will be 30, compared to the 60 that it was today. An even better reminder that winter still is but that spring is on the way was the small flock of geese on our still-frozen pond. When the dairy was built they needed fill dirt, so they dug a hole, a GREAT BIG HOLE. It filled with water, and our pond was born. In the background of some of the pics you can see the calf ranch...
I would be one ticked off goose though, imagine flying all those miles, needing a rest, spotting a nice, big pond, only to find it froze over. Be like driving extra miles to the next rest stop only to find out the plumbing didn't work!
